Dear Sir/Madam,
I am facing a critical TPM-related issue on my desktop PC and would like your technical assistance.
System Details:
- Motherboard: Gigabyte B450M DS3H V2
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 5700G (Cezanne)
- BIOS: Older AGESA version (before ComboV2 1.2.0.F)
- OS: Windows 11
Observed Behavior:
- TPM / AMD fTPM is enabled in BIOS
- PC Health Check confirms TPM 2.0 is present and enabled
- However, in Windows:
tpm.mscdoes not open- “TPM Base Services” is completely missing from services.msc
- Event Viewer shows TPM hardware / attestation errors
- Measured Boot / Attestation fails
- Android emulators (MSI App Player / LDPlayer) crash with
ntdll.dllerrors
Error messages include:
- “The device driver for the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) encountered a non-recoverable error”
- “Pre-attestation health checks confirm a critical component has failed”
Important Note:
This same CPU worked perfectly with TPM and emulators on a different B450 motherboard (Maxsun), which indicates:
➡️ The issue is NOT hardware failure
➡️ It appears to be a known Windows 11 + older AMD AGESA TPM (fTPM) firmware bug
I noticed that newer BIOS versions with AGESA ComboV2 1.2.0.F mention:
- TPM-B firmware update
- Fix for TPM 2.0 vulnerabilities and stability issues
Before performing a BIOS update (due to unstable power conditions in my area), I would like confirmation from your technical team:
- Is this a known AGESA / TPM firmware issue on B450 boards with Cezanne CPUs?
- Will updating to AGESA ComboV2 1.2.0.F fully restore TPM Base Services in Windows?
- Is there any risk to TPM hardware or Windows activation after the update?
Your guidance will help me proceed safely.
Thank you for your time and support.
Kind regards,
[Monerul islam]
